TOURNAMENT RULES & REGULATIONS
- WPA (World Pool Association) rules are being used.
-Two Teams, Asian 5 competitors included Team Leader & European 5 competitors included Team Leader.
-Every Double Event and Single Event won by competitors will win his respective team one (1) point to be accumulated into the team’s Point Pot
-The team with the highest points at the end of the competition shall be declared “Team Champion”.
-A player from each team must compete at least one competition each day but not more than two for the single event.
-Each player only can play maximum two matches for the double event.
-Each team leader ought to submit the form with competitors’ names to the tournament office 30 minutes before commencement of the competitions.
Doubles Match Play:
“Scotch Doubles’ with alternate break being in force. This means that there will be teams of two players with each player taking alternate shots.
Order of Breaking:
-Two players, one from each team, lag for the break. The team that wins the lag then elects one of its team to break.
Entry Fees
THERE IS NO ENTRANCE FEE REQUIRED.
Other Requirements
- All players and officials shall arrive in Brunei Darussalam no later than the 13 January 2010 to attend welcome dinner and players meeting.
- All players and officials may depart only after the prize presentation ceremony which will take place immediately after the final day is played on the 17 January 2010.
Dress Code
- All athletes must be dressed in accordance with the team uniform
Asia team (RED Color)
Europe team (Black Color)
- Black dressed trousers (no Jeans or jeans look like)
- Shirt with collar should be tucked in (no T-shirt)
- Should players be required to wear their sponsorship logo from their sponsors, only 2 logos are allowed. The size of the logo(s) must not exceed 3 inches in diameter or 2 x 3 inches for rectangular shaped logos
Food, Transport and Accommodation
- Players need to take responsibility for their own airfare
- Transport between airport and hotel will be provided by the organizer
- The organizer will provide accommodations to all players and team manager at Rizqun International Hotel, Gadong (www.rizquninternational.com)
- All accompanying persons and supporters shall arrange their own accommodation at their own cost. All reservation requests shall be forwarded to the organizing committee by the 30 December 2009. Any notice of cancellations accommodation reservations shall be given ten (10) working days before the reservation date. In failing to do so, a 25% cancellation fee will be enforced and be back charged to the respective federation(s)
Passport and Visa Requirements
- All persons entering Brunei Darussalam shall have a valid passport. In addition, persons coming from certain countries must have visas issued by the Brunei Darussalam Embassy or Consulate. As visa agreements with other countries may vary, participants are advised to check with the Brunei Embassy or Consulate in their home country for information and entry formalities.
Insurance
- As the organizer cannot accept responsibility and liability for any accidents or injury that may occur, participants are advised to provide their own personal insurance.
